Accessibility

Built to be usable by everyone.

We target WCAG 2.2 AA. We're honest that it's ongoing. Here's exactly what we do and how to reach us when something breaks.

01

Our target standard

We're working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across taqtics.com. That's the recognized international benchmark for web accessibility. We haven't certified every page yet, but AA is the floor we build toward on every new addition.

02

Semantic HTML throughout

Every page uses proper heading order, landmark regions, and native HTML elements. Screen readers can navigate by heading, by region, and by list. We don't override browser defaults without a clear accessibility reason.

03

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Focus states are visible and never suppressed. Tab order follows the visual layout. No keyboard traps.

04

Color contrast

Text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background at normal sizes and 3:1 at large sizes. We don't rely on color alone to convey meaning. Icons and status indicators include a label or visible text.

05

Alt text on images

Meaningful images have descriptive alt text. Decorative images carry an empty alt attribute so screen readers skip them. We review alt text whenever an image is added or updated.

06

Reduced motion

Animations and transitions respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. When that preference is set, motion stops. No autoplay that requires user action to pause.

07

This is ongoing work

We're a small team, not a large enterprise with a dedicated accessibility program. We fix issues as we find them and prioritize reports from real users. If something blocks you, tell us and we'll address it.
